District One, and since my husband Ed Mazria and I built our home on
Cerro Gordo, I have grown to know Patti Bushee well, in her role as
a Councilor, as a community leader and advocate, and as a friend.
She understands this City as few do, and applies her invaluable
experience to every issue. She is beyond reproach ethically. She
brings the kind of genuine human concern to public service that is
seldom seen at any level. And she has a clear vision of both our
challenges and what we must do to meet them. Patti and I do not
always agree – but even in our moments of disagreement – my respect
